What is the difference between Nano Brows and Nano Combination Brows?

Nano Brows use a specialized machine to create fine, hair-like strokes that mimic natural brow hairs. Nano Combination Brows combine these hairstrokes with soft shading for additional fullness and definition. Nano Brows typically offer a softer, hair-stroke-focused finish, while combination brows create a more defined, makeup-inspired look.

Do Nano Brows look natural?

Yes! Nano Brows are designed to mimic the appearance of natural brow hairs. The shape, colour, and hairstroke pattern are customized to complement your existing brows and facial features.

How long do Nano Brows last?

Nano Brows are semi-permanent and gradually fade over time. Longevity varies depending on your skin, lifestyle, sun exposure, skincare routine, and pigment retention. Periodic touch-ups may be recommended to maintain your desired result.

Are Nano Brows the same as microblading?

No. Nano Brows use a machine and a fine needle to create hairstrokes, whereas traditional microblading uses a manual blade. The techniques differ in how pigment is implanted into the skin, and suitability depends on your individual skin and brow goals.

Do Nano Brows hurt?

Comfort levels vary from person to person. Some clients experience mild discomfort during the procedure. Shelby will explain what to expect and take appropriate steps to help make your appointment as comfortable as possible.

How long does it take for Nano Brows to heal?

The initial healing process typically takes around 7–14 days, although the skin and pigment can take several weeks to fully settle. Your brows may appear darker immediately after treatment before softening as they heal.

Will I need a touch-up?

A perfecting session 6 weeks after your first appt is part of the initial brow or lip blush process to assess pigment retention and make any necessary refinements 

Can I get Nano Brows if I have previous permanent makeup?

Possibly. Existing pigment, shape, colour, and skin condition can affect whether a new treatment is suitable. *An in person consult MUST be booked if there’s any previous PMU.

What is Lip Blush?

Lip Blush is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo that enhances the natural colour, shape, and definition of your lips. It creates a soft wash of colour for a naturally tinted appearance without the need to apply lipstick every day.

Will Lip Blush make my lips look bigger?

Lip Blush does not physically increase lip volume like dermal filler. However, carefully placed pigment can enhance the natural lip border and create the appearance of more defined, balanced lips.

How long does Lip Blush last?

Lip Blush gradually fades over time, with longevity varying according to your skin, lifestyle, sun exposure, skincare, and pigment retention. A touch-up may be recommended depending on your healed results and colour preferences.

Will my lips look bright immediately after treatment?

Your lips will typically appear more vibrant immediately after treatment than they will once healed. The colour gradually softens as your lips recover, revealing your final result over the following weeks.

Is Lip Blush painful?

Comfort varies from person to person. You may experience some discomfort during the procedure. Shelby will explain the process and discuss appropriate comfort measures before beginning.

How long does Lip Blush take to heal?

The initial healing phase generally takes several days to around two weeks, while the final colour can take several weeks to settle. Temporary swelling, tenderness, dryness, and colour changes may occur during healing.

Can I get Lip Blush if I have a history of cold sores?

Lip Blush can trigger a cold sore outbreak in people who carry the herpes simplex virus, even if outbreaks are infrequent. If you have a history of cold sores, consult your healthcare professional before treatment about appropriate antiviral prevention. Disclose your history to Shelby before booking.

What is Brow Lamination?

Brow Lamination is a temporary brow treatment that restructures and sets your natural brow hairs into a desired direction. It creates a fuller, lifted, more uniform appearance without tattooing pigment into the skin.

How long does Brow Lamination last?

Results typically last approximately 6–8 weeks, depending on your natural hair growth, lifestyle, and aftercare.

Will Brow Lamination make my brows look fuller?

Brow Lamination can make your existing brow hairs appear fuller by lifting and redirecting them into a more uniform shape. It cannot create new hair or fill completely bare areas.

Is Brow Lamination permanent?

No. Brow Lamination is a temporary treatment. Your hairs will gradually return to their natural direction as the effect wears off and new hair grows.

Can I get Brow Lamination if I have thin brows?

Yes, depending on the condition and amount of existing brow hair. Lamination can help make the hairs you have appear more defined and fuller. Shelby can help you determine whether the treatment is suitable for your brows.

How should I care for my brows after lamination?

Follow the specific aftercare instructions provided by Shelby. You may be advised to avoid getting your brows wet, excessive sweating, steam, and applying makeup or other products to the treated area for the recommended period immediately after treatment.

PREPARING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT

How should I prepare for permanent makeup?

Follow the preparation instructions provided for your specific service. In general, arrive with clean skin and avoid booking immediately before important events, as healing time is required. Let Shelby know about previous cosmetic tattooing, relevant medications, skin conditions, and recent cosmetic treatments before your appointment.

Can I get permanent makeup if I have sensitive skin?

Sensitive skin does not automatically mean you are unsuitable, but certain skin conditions and sensitivities may affect your eligibility or healing. Discuss your concerns with Shelby before booking. A patch test, where appropriate, may help assess certain sensitivities but cannot guarantee that a reaction will not occur.

Can I get permanent makeup while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Permanent makeup is generally postponed during pregnancy and breastfeeding as a precaution. Please discuss your circumstances with Shelby before booking.

Are there any reasons I may not be a candidate?

Certain medical conditions, active skin infections, allergies, medications, recent cosmetic procedures, and previous permanent makeup can affect suitability.
